Heavily loaded housing parts are made out of spheroidal graphite cast iron, all other parts are out of grey cast iron. Other materials on request
Gear teeth
Sun and planet gears have spur gear teeth and are case-hardened and ground. Annulus gears are mostly quenched and tempered and shaped or ground, depending on size. Bevel gears are case-hardened and, depend- ing on size, lapped, HPG-cut or ground. The gears and gear shafts of the primary gear stages have helical teeth and are case- hardened and ground.
A gear unit design which is finite-life fatigue-resistant can be sufficient for certain applications, for example, sporadic operation (lock-gate drives) or low output speeds (n2< 4 min-1).
Bearing arrangements
Gears and shafts are exclusively supported by amply dimensioned rolling bearings.
Input side
The shafts are designed for taking up, for example, couplings or pulleys.
Output side
In addition to standard designs it is possible to design hollow and solid shafts also with involute splines,
